LAST TIME OUT
The Glory defeated Chicago City 3-2 last Friday, thanks to two goals from Christine Kitaru and an Ally Cruz goal in the 88th minute. Green Bay’s defense would step up in the second half when Chicago City found an offensive groove. Chicago City came out with a corner kick in the 54th minute, starting a nearly 20-minute onslaught of shots and chances in GB territory. However, that onslaught was interrupted thanks to Christine Kitaru, who notched her second goal of the game in the 58th minute to put the Glory up 2-0. She juked out three City players on her way towards the net. Chicago City would respond in quick fashion with a goal in the 63rd minute. From there, Glory goalkeeper Alyssa Stumbaugh would go to work, rejecting multiple Chicago corner kicks. Chicago City scored a goal off a penalty kick in extra time, but the game was called just moments after it was scored.

HOME SWEET HOME
Green Bay’s home game last Friday night marked the first since July 18, 2021. Green Bay went 1-4-0 at Capital Credit Union Park last season and is currently 1-0-1 at home in 2022 after the season’s home opener last Friday when GB defeated Chicago City 3-2.
ABOUT THE DUTCH LIONS
Monday night’s contest will mark the second of three times the Dutch Lions and Glory will face off. The two teams just saw each other, with Green Bay defeating Chicago 1-0. Skylar Prentice’s goal in the 75th minute was all GB needed to escape the Windy City with a victory. Chicago and Green Bay matched up twice last season.
LOOK AROUND THE LEAGUE
The Green Bay – Chicago game is the only USL W game happening Monday night. There’s only one game tomorrow as well when Greenville Liberty SC hosts’ the North Carolina Fusion. Seven USL W games were played on Sunday, while 10 will be played on Wednesday.
