Favorite soccer memory: The bus ride back to our high school after clinching the first ever conference title for the girl’s soccer program. The atmosphere was electric - every person was either singing, screaming, or celebrating in their own way! I remember turning to my teammate and saying, in amazement, “man, we just won conference!”. That moment was surreal.
Biggest soccer accomplishment: Having a personal record of 18-2 and a team record of 22-2 my freshman year of college. This same year, we fought our way deep into the NCAA Tournament, making it into the Sweet 16.
Biggest life accomplishment: Overcoming the hurdles that were placed in front me throughout my academic career. These hurdles motivated me to become involved outside of the classroom, which in turn allowed me to focus my time and energy on tasks that would help me achieve my goals. With this mindset, I have been able to apply for an accelerated master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology, where one completes their first year of Graduate school the same time as their last year of their undergraduate degree.

Why do you love soccer?: I love the relationships that soccer has brought me. I have formed countless lifelong friendships that are built off camaraderie, competitiveness, support, and an overall passion for the game. Soccer has pushed me to go outside of my comfort zone - whether it be academically, athletically, or in extracurriculars - which has opened numerous doors of opportunities. I love soccer because it brings people of all backgrounds together for a common good.
