We’re thrilled to welcome back Maddie Anderson!

Maddie is a defensive midfielder from Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Reflecting on her previous experience with Glory, Maddie shared, “When I played my first season in 2023, I fell in love with the team atmosphere. Everyone had such a love for the sport, and was always willing to push themselves and their teammates to be the best versions of themselves.”

Currently a student at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Maddie is a junior majoring in kinesiology with an emphasis on rehabilitation science. Off the field, she’s known for her unwavering dedication to her teammates, family, and friends. As the oldest of three girls, Maddie cherishes her time by the water during the summer, enjoying activities like waterskiing with her dad and sisters.

Since her previous season with Glory, Maddie has been focused on her academic and career goals, actively searching for physical therapy programs for after her undergraduate studies. Reflecting on her time with Glory, Maddie shared, “My experience with Glory so far has taught me a lot about the importance of discipline. I had to wake up as early as 4:30 am for my drive to 6 am practices, but it helped me realize that with a little bit of discipline and dedication, you can achieve anything.”

As she returns to the team, Maddie is eager to continue her growth on and off the field. “I am returning this season because not only did I see immense growth and development on the field last season, but I also created so many close friendships along the way,” she explained. “I hope to continue bonding with the returning players, while also creating new bonds with new players.”

With aspirations to become a physical therapist specializing in sports medicine, Maddie sees soccer and her experience with Glory as integral parts of her journey. “Glory has taught me to trust the process, and I hope to use that same motto when I help my patients,” she expressed.
