The WPSL is the largest women’s soccer league in the world with more than 120 clubs from coast-to-coast. Entering its 23nd season, the WPSL features elite collegiate, post-collegiate, international and standout prep student-athletes. Many of the United States’ most accomplished women’s players have played in the WPSL, including national players like Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe, Julie Foudy and Brandi Chastain.
The WPSL has clubs in 40 of the 43 largest metropolitan areas in the United States. It is sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA), who is an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body of soccer in the United States and FIFA the world’s ruling body for soccer.
The WPSL season runs from May 1st to August 1st. Teams can expect to play 10 to 14 games during the season. The season concludes with a league championship tournament that is held the last weekend of July. The tournament’s venue varies from year-to-year.
